Same arena, same guns — the only thing one team has that the other doesn't is each other.
Two three-tank teams fight to be the last standing on a hex arena with a safe zone that shrinks to the center. Every tank — both teams — drives itself with the same deterministic motor: targeting, range-keeping, pathing, retreating when hurt. Skill is identical on both sides.
Blue (Artel) is three real LLM agents — one per tank — talking to each other through Artel: shared memory, messages, and tasks. Each is a commander, not a driver — it issues standing orders (focus fire on one enemy, regroup, hold a spot) from what its teammates radio in, including enemies it cannot see itself. Red is identical tanks with no radio.
Shots are ballistic: a tank aims at a cell and the shot travels a fixed line from where it started the turn — the first thing on that line takes the hit, including a teammate. Move off the line and you dodge. A tank that holds still, unhit and not firing, repairs energy.
Blue learns across matches too — every fight writes a lesson back to Artel that future commanders read. Watch whether coordination beats identical solo hunters over time.
